Pablo Sarró Sánchez

Background
Hello! I am Pablo Sarró Sánchez, a Spanish student currently studying an MSc in Computational Science and Engineering at EPFL. I hold a BSc in Mathematical and Physical Engineering from URV, during which I spent my final year on an Exchange program at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).

Academic Interests
In my Bachelor's degree, I developed a solid foundation in mathematics and physics, exploring how mathematical tools are used to model physical systems. Motivated by the wish to apply these concepts in practice, I started my Master's degree to learn how to use mathematical models to perform efficient simulations in scientific computing. My main areas of interest include computational modelling, artificial intelligence and numerical simulations. Currently, I am exploring how high-performance computing can optimise such simulations by writing parallel and concurrent code.

Applied Engineering
In addition, I love exploring new activities that lie outside of my comfort zone. As an example, I am currently Vice-President of the EPFL Spacecraft Team, where I also serve as Head of Operations and Treasurer, working hand in hand with ESA experts and technical engineers from diverse fields.

Personal Interests
I personally enjoy playing padel and running, which I do on a daily basis, as well as playing the piano and observing satellites in the night sky.
